In 4U, the role of SUBMITTER applies to anyone responsible for managing content or partner approvals.
As a 4U Connect Submitter you are able to add your Company's content to 4U, share content, and submit Approval Requests to your Wealth Management and Platform Provider Partners. The following guide provides you with the basic steps for getting started, as well as links to additional resources for diving deeper.
Step 1: Login and verify your permissions

Once logged in, click your user icon on the upper right of the screen to access the Admin menu options
Your Team assignments establish your permissions for adding content or submitting Approval Requests. Each SUBMITTER TEAM is associated with a specific PRODUCT DEPARTMENT (for example, Submitters for the Mutual Fund Department are Mutual Funds Submitters).
Please Note: A Company Admin will need to provide you with Submitter permissions for any of the Product Departments.
All Team assignments can be viewed in Team Admin. If changes are required, contact your Company Administrator.
Step 2: Add New Content
Navigate to Manage > Content and click Add New Content to begin adding Content to the system.
Once you have completed your New Content Form, click the Make Available action button and select the Partner(s) you want to make the Content Available to.
Making Content Available allows permissioned Users at your Partner company to view the Content in their Content Catalog view. If approval is required for use with Advisors at your Partner company, you still need to Submit an Approval Request.
Step 3: Submit Approval Request(s)
When clicking the Make Available action from the Make Available Dialogue Box, an "Approval Request" record will be created for each Partner the Content has been made Available to.
Based on rules established at each Receiving Company (Wealth Management or Platform Provider), this Approval Request will initially be in either the NOT SUBMITTED or ACCEPTED FOR USE status.
NOT SUBMITTED Approval Requests are visible in the Receiver's Content Catalog but cannot be used with Advisors until Approved by the Receiver's Marketing Review team. To Submit the Approval Request, click on the Title for the applicable row and take the appropriate Actions.
The Approval Request Form represents the Content record associated with the a specific Partner Company.
Prior to Submitting the Content for Approval you can:
Modify the Team and Assignee
Replace the Content File with a "Partner Version" of the Content when Partner specific disclosures or other customizations are required.
