What Are Partner Permissions?
In 4U, Partnership status represents the ability to connect and collaborate across the platform.
For 4U Connect, Wealth Managers grant Partner permissions to Investment Companies to allow them to:
Make content Available to your Product Teams
Submit Approval Requests for publishing content
🛠️ Administering Partner Settings
You can view and manage Partner permissions from the Partner Admin area.
To access Partner Admin:
Click your User Icon in the top right.
Select Partner Admin from the menu.
You’ll see a list of all companies that can be added to your Partner list.
Key actions in Partner Admin:
Filter the list.
Click Add to add a new Investment Company as a Partner.
Type CONFIRM in the confirmation modal.
🧾 Understanding the Partner Admin List View
Each company listed in Partner Admin has an executed licensing agreement with 4U.
Field | Description |
Products | Lists the Product Team(s) where the company has added at least one Submitter or Reviewer. |
4U Status | Inactive – Contracted with 4U but still onboarding. Active – Onboarded and ready to collaborate via 4U Connect. |
Partner | Indicates whether the company has been marked as a Partner ( |
💡 Pro tip:
Even Inactive companies appear in Partner Admin so you can manage and track your full list. Marking them as a Partner early ensures that content sharing is automatically enabled as they become Active.
