Volume Metrics

Learn how to use the Volume Metrics dashboard to track content availability and Approval Request submission trends across your Wealth Manager partners.

The Volume Metrics dashboard gives Investment Companies a clear view of how much content they've made available and how many Approval Requests they've submitted across their Wealth Manager partners — all in one place.

Use this report to spot trends over time, compare activity across partners, and understand how your content submission volume breaks down by type.

How to Access

From the top navigation, hover over Analytics and select Volume Metrics. The dashboard opens in a new tab.

Filters

The filter panel on the left side of the dashboard applies to all charts. You can collapse it to maximize chart space.

Time Range
Filters all charts by the date an Approval Request status entry was created. The default view shows the last year (365 days). You can adjust to other preset ranges or set a custom date range. Hovering over the filter shows the exact dates selected.

Partner
Filters results to one or more of your Wealth Manager partners. You can select multiple partners at once. By default, your data is already scoped to partners your company is authorized to view — you won't see data for partners you aren't connected with.

Charts

Content Made Available Volume Trends

Shows the number of distinct pieces of content your company made available each month, regardless of any subsequent changes or resubmissions. Because this counts unique content (not every status event), the numbers here will typically be lower than on other charts. Use this to track your overall content footprint over time.

Approval Request Submission Volume Trends

Shows the total number of Approval Request submissions per month across all selected partners. Unlike the Content Made Available chart, this counts every submission event.

Total Approval Request Submissions by Partner

Breaks down the same Approval Request submission data by partner, using color-coded segments to differentiate each one. This makes it easy to see which partners receive the most activity and how that's shifted over time. The chart is interactive.

Total Content Made Available by Type

Shows your monthly content volume split into two categories:

  • New Content — content submitted for the first time (no prior version exists), or a major version update to existing content

  • New Version — a minor update to an existing piece of content

Use this to understand whether your team is primarily publishing new material or updating existing content.

Approval Request Submission Activity Detail

A row-level table showing every Approval Request submission event within the selected filters. Each row represents a single submission. Columns include:

  • 4U Content ID — the internal 4U identifier for the content

  • Content ID — your company's own reference ID

  • Content Name — the name of the piece of content

  • Submission Date — when the Approval Request was submitted

  • Content Expiration Date — the content's expiration date

  • Partner — the Wealth Manager partner the request was sent to

The same piece of content can appear in multiple rows if it was submitted to more than one partner. The table is sortable by any column (default: Submission Date, newest first) and paginates at 200 rows per page. You can export up to 10,000 rows to CSV.
