June 2024 4U API Access Update
We’re pleased to share that efforts are well underway at several investment companies to leverage our new Content API through our recently announced early access period. Valuable insights from these companies have already been translated into API improvements and based on the initial feedback we are excited to open API access to a wider audience.
Beginning July 1st, API access will be available to all companies with over 100 available Content Records on 4U.

April 2024 Content API Announcement
Over the past year, we have made significant progress in building a robust and adaptable API framework that can address the integration needs of Investment Companies in a scalable, secure, and compliant manner.
Soon, we will be extending an invitation to Investment Company technology teams who have indicated interest in beginning to work with our Content API to synchronize 4U with their internal Content Management Systems (CMS) and Compliance Systems. Participating companies will be provided access to a new 4U Developer Site and will work collaboratively with our integration team to plan, develop and leverage broadly applicable 4U integration solutions to meet their specific organizational needs.
As with our other platform innovations, effective collaboration will be key. Our dedicated team of highly talented engineers, QA, and product professionals are excited to start collaborating with your organizations to deliver the tools and services needed for industry-wide and company-specific system-to-system connectivity.

What features will our developers have access to initially?

The 4U Developer Site with resources and documentation.
Client credentials for secure access to the 4U Content Service API using the OAuth 2.0 protocol.
A testing “sandbox”
Realistic, sanitized test data from production.
RESTful JSON-based API endpoints over https to add new content (PDF or PPT), FINRA letters, and other metadata, and to update existing PDF and PowerPoint content records.
How will 4U integrations help my company?

The initial API will be most helpful to companies with development teams that are building from existing internal integration frameworks.
